Loving and Liking Your Position
Dear Abba,
Some employees are in customer-facing roles in their jobs and they do not like working with the general public. I have had my issues with the public across several industries including ministry. Employees have valid reasons for disliking their jobs. They also have unreasonable expectations from working with the general public.
For example, customers will make requests according to their preferences for the products and services offered by the company. The workers facilitating the order may feel like the customer is taking something from them as they fulfill an order. They may feel more is required of them than what is received from their role. An employee may feel a lack of appreciation depending on the interaction between the customers. The transaction can be taken personally by the employee. The truth is, the worker is doing a job they are paid to do. They are accomplishing their work with no overhead. The customer is paying for their preferred or specialty product or service from the brand. Customer service and customer representative work is not for everyone!
I want to compare the roles of leadership and those who lead to the experience of individuals in a customer-facing role. Those of us in leadership and those who lead sometimes feel we are giving what is needed through service for Yah's people, and we are not served in the same or a similar way. We sometimes take it personally how we supply when we feel we need to receive. Leaders and those who lead want to be heard, seen, and succored. Leaders should receive encouragement in their hearts and soul.
Reciprocity is Yah's way of replenishing what He uses through us to disperse among His body. In Ephesians 4:26 it reads, "He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its special work, it helps the other parts grow, so the entire body is healthy and full of love.
Do not think and believe your life will not become richer for your willingness to live poured out. The Most High Yahuah is rewarding your sacrifice and planning a bountiful harvest from what you freely give away in obedience. This happens every time with every assignment! You may be accruing favor and the goodness of the Lord for divine reimbursement at a later time or season.
Nevertheless, your willingness and obedience pay off! You are not forgotten, ignored, or denied! Expect to be restored! Expect to be refilled after every pour. Take your refilling!
Here are some keys to avoid burnout and feeling left out:
1. After ministering, be sure to forbid demonic retaliation
2. Worship and offer gratitude for the opportunity.
3. Ask Ruach to show you what part of ministering you can take for yourself. (I received that prophecy for myself. I take that breakthrough)
4. Ask Ruach to refresh your heart and soul as you meditate on scripture.
5. Explore a new hobby. Add stress-relieving activities such as coloring, deep breathing, stretching, journal writing, and listening to soft music.
6. Drive to a different city to shop for groceries.
7. Add more live foods and natural supplements to your nutrition.
8. Examine your friend circle. Who can provide wisdom for a better perspective? Meet with them to discuss his/her input over dessert.
9. Come out of forced isolation by joining a book club, singles support group, married couples group, or widow/widower support group.
10. Practice joy and gratitude, daily by smiling at yourself and others.
11. Live with an expectation of favor and blessing.
Shalom, Shalom
