When Love Calls
Dear Abba,
My heart is at peace when I rest in knowing I am not on my own; Abba is a faithful Father. Intimacy with God has been my life line for the twists and turns on my journey of faith. Whenever I feel stalled or overly concerned about anything, I can feel Abba calling me closer to Him. Honestly, at times I grapple with disappointment which delays my answer to His calling. Have you been there? You just want life to stop spinning. You wish the issue didn't exist. You question why this is happening. Thankfully, this journey is a marathon and our Gracious Father allows for times we are questioning and even resisting; not from rebellion but learning to endure hardness is arduous. I am holding space for anyone feeling the weight of waiting, the frustration brought by delay, impatience from unanswered prayers, and the lack of details from The Most High.
The best way to handle these emotions are to be truthful about them and process them through prayer. "God calls us into a loving relationship with Him so that He can share His secrets with us, and, in turn, we can allow ourselves to become unashamedly open before Him (Mills, 2022)." Where would we be if we could not be vulnerable in the presence of the Abba Yah? Imagine if Yahusha/Jesus would not have had the garden at Gethsemane experience. Our only escape is in the arms of our trustworthy Father. When Love Calls answer with an affirmative "Yes!" You will not regret it. He is our safe place to land and our safe place to release all things at His feet.
You will start out praying for yourself and you will end praying for others. This is how we gain strength; we receive and give. This practice is the circular motion of intimacy with God and loving our neighbors as we love ourselves.
May your life be proof of the goodness and long-suffering of The Most High. May you receive the power of Yah's Anointing to break and destroy yokes. May your life be unshackled from fear, doubt, confusion, and self-pity. Listen, all roads lead to victory! The path you are on is designed for you to rest, and hear the call to come close when you need a respite.
