Addicted to Comfort
Dear Abba,
We know You are NOT opposed to comfort. Otherwise, we would not have sent to us 'Another COMFORTer' (Helper, Advocate). John 14:16
What is addiction to comfort?
Professionals purport "All addicts are driven by emotion," leading to impulse cues, obsession, and finally compulsive behavior. It is important to receive healing for damaged emotions. Furthermore, we must learn to regulate our emotions. Addiction to comfort is self-prohibitive and self-sabotage toward growth, change, and advancement. The outcome of addiction to comfort is stagnation.
Addiction to comfort undermines our ability to overcome adversity. Addiction to comfort displaces human grit and sheer will to move! It buries one beneath ease and relief. The scripture {Amos 6:1} that comes to mind is," Woe unto them that are at EASE in Zion." In Luke 6:24-25, Yeshua rebuked those who rested on their accomplishments and the laurels of success like a shield protecting them from calamity. Obsessing over ease and relief is restrictive.
If all believers long for is an easy life and times and relief from current difficulties, we will not rise up as the Kingdom of God to execute dominion and righteousness on earth. We have a mandate from Abba Yah to rise up despite opposition and contention! People do not overcome challenges when ease and relief rule. Freedom from addiction to comfort propels us to a breakthrough.
The most detrimental times in our lives are often our finest hours! The song says, "Get up, sitting down, God can't use you sitting down." We shine as the Bride of Christ brightest in gross darkness. The power and authority of The Most High is greatly displayed as we move with Ruach Ha'kodesh. Now is not the time to bow to comfort, ease, relief, or convenience. It is the time for wisdom to dominate (Function as Kingdom Citizens in submission to God's sovereignty) in our metron.
It is the time to break forth and expand to the left and right. How about we do our part of the Shaking and Shaping? Walk worthy of your calling. Do the work of your calling. Fulfill your purpose. Be the hands and feet of Yeshua. Evangelize. Testify. Be fruitful. Everything occurring in America and globally is not simply happening around us or to us; many things are happening for us. May discomfort serve as a springboard and a launch pad for our dynamic release.
Up, Up, Up, and Occupy!
Be Lifted!
Dear Reader, if you would like to be born again, we love that for you. Please email us after you have made your confession of faith. Please read Romans 10:8-9 and pray. See below.
Prayer: Dear Yeshua/Jesus, I repent of my sins and ask for your forgiveness. I believe you are the resurrected Savior and Messiah. Be the Lord of my life. Thank you, God, in all things. Amen.
Shalom, Shalom
