Dear Abba,       Many believers concern themselves with the length of time it generally takes for answered prayer and the fulfillment of prophecy.  I once complained that extended wait times were a waste. What I now know is that waiting is not wasteful, and You are Sovereign over time. Today, I am more grateful than ever for spiritual maturity, becoming humble, and patience.       An answered prayer and prophecy coming to fruition demand our faith, works, Abba Yah's wisdom, and intentional growth. In other words, we must learn to completely surrender ourselves to the process of preparation. We must also write plans and visions, and lean into whatever credentials or schooling are necessary to show up and dominate in whatever field, interest, industry, or purpose we have grace to occupy.   Dear Abba,      Sometimes learned behavior, generational curses, bloodline issues, and negative cultural trends are amplified! Thank you for leading me and covering me as I prayed for obstacles and strongholds plaguing our community far too long.  I am grateful we have prayer, intercession, decrees, authority, and born-again, Spirit-filled mental health professionals to assist.  May believers arise in every family as repairers of the breach.      It is a worthy work to address past experiences and current challenges within our community. We must allow our voices to be heard against what contends with us. We should not have to hear from outsiders what we need to reshape and change among us. Dear Abba,      We can depend on you! You either catch us before we fall or pick us up when life has us flat on our faces.  I love to read Psalm 112:4 (a) Light shines in the darkness for the upright. HalleluYAH.      Many find themselves in a night season. There is a grief journey that everyone will encounter at some point. Grief can come from a diversity of loss, tangible and intangible. However, as we sleep through the night and arise in the morning light, Abba Yah is with us. He is here to remind us that It Won't Always Be Night.  We can make it past the dark seasons. We can always expect there to be light.   Dear Abba,       Psalm 23 is a gift from Your heart to ours , especially verse 6: "Surely goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life." There is no situation or environment where the company of goodness and mercy is absent. Goodness and mercy are clear expressions of You, daily. May every believer experiencing loneliness decide they are never alone.       One definition of Follow in Hebrew is to keep track of.  In essence, we are always seen, observed, and guarded.       Several years ago, there was a trend termed 'Find your tribe.'   Dear Abba, Heart to Heart      The alarms in my Spirit from April to May for children are on my mind. While we are celebrating all things children from births, baby dedications, confessions of faith, baptisms, moving-up ceremonies, proms, and graduations- children need our prayer and protection. From the womb to 19, our mission is to love, show compassion and grace, and support the precious ones.  We must watch, take authority, execute dominion, and pray.  Dear Abba,      We know You are NOT opposed to comfort. Otherwise, we would not have sent to us 'Another COMFORTer' (Helper, Advocate).  John 14:16 What is addiction to comfort?      Professionals purport "All addicts are driven by emotion," leading to impulse cues, obsession, and finally compulsive behavior. It is important to receive healing for damaged emotions. Furthermore, we must learn to regulate our emotions. Addiction to comfort is self-prohibitive and self-sabotage toward growth, change, and advancement. The outcome of addiction to comfort is stagnation.       Addiction to comfort undermines our ability to overcome adversity. Addiction to comfort displaces human grit and sheer will to move! It buries one beneath ease and relief. The scripture { Amos 6:1 } that comes to mind is," Woe unto them that are at EASE in Zion."  Dear Abba,      It is woefully apparent that many people declare, "The Most High is doing a new thing." Yet, the same individuals are closed off to change. They cling to the familiar when change requires letting go of one thing to receive something else. The mouth, mind, and heart must be aligned for change to unfold. Intrinsic division will obstruct advancement. Each of us has faced the future with either enthusiasm to proceed or the intimidation that causes delay. This year, I hope we can all renounce a fear of failure, doubts about the results, and lack of faith.      Whatever risks we have to take for the new thing in front of us, let's do it! Hesitation interferes with change. It makes one second-guess the decision to embrace anything new the Ruach blows into our lives. Dear Abba,      As we continue in the decade of the mouth ( Pey ), speech, expression, and the power of words. We can not go silent. Our words are meant to create, announce, warn, speak life, decree, proclaim, pray, praise, worship, exhortation, confess belief, and repentance for missing the mark. Believers are truth tellers. Revelatory truth and illumination of scripture are spoken from the mouth of believers. Assigned and designated voices must consecrate themselves, deny themselves, and obey Yah's unction to speak in timing and season.      Those among us who complain about not hearing The Most High speak to them must begin the habit of speaking to Him in prayer. Sit with the Holy Bible, reading the scriptures, and ask questions about what you read and for clarity and understanding. Ask for and receive wisdom to apply to your life what you now know.       There are strategies necessary to enable us to see, hear, discern, and remember....

Dear Abba,      The Venezuela situation took me by surprise; despite knowing America is an oil glutton and Venezuela has plenty of it! The alleged tyranny and corruption of the Venezuelan President and administration are reminiscent of that of Saddam Hussein. Granted, I am aware of the drug issues and the migration of many individuals and families from Venezuela to America and various places.  Arresting President  Muduro and Mrs. Munduro caught me off guard. President Trump and his leaders planned and executed the mission like a movie!  They managed to pull this off without involving the relevant channels, including Congress. What's Going on?!  Should that be a concern to us, given that we are a Republic with a democratic system?       Recent events and more to come punctuate the word of the Lord from March 2024...  Dear Abba,      Sometimes we must choose between a reason and an excuse. For instance, one reason for being late to a meeting can be inclement weather. An excuse for being late is forgetting to set an alarm. One is legitimate, and the other is careless. Life does not happen by chance. We must engage. We cannot settle on the perspective that Abba Yah is in control. We have control of more outcomes than we care to admit. We can ask ourselves: How vested are we in purpose and destiny?  What sacrifices are we willing to make?  Are we willing to put in the work?        If we are going to finish this fight of faith, then we must vow not to settle for part of the way.  A finished work occurs intrinsically. Afterwards, we see what was happening underneath. You can keep going if you don't quit. Why settle now when you have come this far? Many of us are on the brink of something sudden.  Dear Abba ,      There is no path given to the believer to circumvent pain. There is one path through pain, grief, hardship, disappointment, and challenging circumstances. The path is named Through Street . It is inevitable for us to take hits to our emotions, mind, body, and relationships. Even attempts on our lives are included. We have one guarantee. The Most High is faithful through it all. We must learn to lean into His care and faithfulness toward us. Yes, we are troubled and stretched along the journey. However, our faith grows like a burgeoning muscle when we are intentional during the preparation and self-evaluation process.   Dear Abba,      In my time of reflection, I love to recall the goodness of the Lord. Every believer should remind themselves of the 'nobody but Abba Yah' moments. Testimonies allow our minds and hearts to hold onto Abba's love for us and the goodness He displays. They are proof of the answers to our prayers. Churches need to find creative ways to allow time for testimonies during services and or Bible Study. We need documented evidence for healings, miracles, and divine intervention. Many new believers need encouragement for their faith journey. Testimonies provide the boost and overcoming power to provoke faith, trust, and belief that we are covered by The Most High. Despite the chaos all around us, there is goodness happening everywhere. Despite the rise in evil works, divine intervention is present for individuals and families. Dear Abba,      Redemption is a plan no one should live and die without experiencing. To become is a process denoting internal and external change. It is a development exercise years in the making for anyone looking to make the most of their life.  Recently, I watched a clip of a man stating his love for God. He further expressed his intention to be born again on his deathbed, as he did not want to live for God now. When he mentioned the freedom of choice we all have, I immediately thought about idolatry. Many individuals worship free will and freedom of choice.       This category of people includes those who confess they are born again. Believers choose to accept Yahushuah and enter a covenant with God, yet they do not embark on the journey to become who they were created to be. They refuse healing, deliverance, discipline, and discipleship. They merely exist among the community of believers like those in a village without becoming a vill...

Dear Abba,      Recently, I nearly took a bad tumble. There was a partially exposed large tree root beneath the leaves. As I tripped and began to fall forward, gratefully, the car was close enough for me to brace myself. I decided the near fall was a demonic attack. The warfare has been intense the past few months. I am not one to harp on demons and the activities of ha'satan. My focus is better served by thinking on the goodness and power of The Most High! Since that day, I watch my steps and remain in tune. If you are facing an onslaught of attacks or bumps in the road, don't let the enemy make you paranoid. Put him on the offensive by growing your prayer life, practicing intentional praise, engaging in spontaneous worship, and speaking the word of Yah out loud. Our voices are made for legislation. Dear Abba,      My heart is at peace when I rest knowing I am not on my own; Abba is a faithful Father. Intimacy with God has been my lifeline for the twists and turns on my journey of faith. Whenever I feel stalled or overly concerned about anything, I can feel Abba calling me closer to Him. Honestly, at times, I grapple with disappointment, which delays my answer to His calling. Have you been there? You just want life to stop spinning. You wish the issue didn't exist. You question why this is happening. Dear Abba,      This time last year I was stressed out functioning at full throttle. Adrenaline, and tension were driving me forward. Sometimes life happens and we maintain abnormal velocities to keep pace.  From October 2024 until April 2025 I would experience the longest sprint of my life. I was one of the caregivers for our mother as she approached the ending of her health challenges. While our relationship was not without hardship; I loved and honored her flaws and all. I may make her famed sweet potato pie in her honor this year for the holidays. 👀 Nevertheless, I am moving through life focusing on my future.       Thankfully, I am much calmer these days and my body, mind, and nervous system are finding a safer rhythm for me to live and thrive.  Dear Abba, The Government Shutdown and Believers       According to news outlets, There is a deal on the table. Democrats want a one year extension of Market place healthcare but Republicans do not. There is a stalemate! It is disconcerting to witness essential needs that are targeted and held out as leverage between the two parties. It is past time to put ego, pride, and chaos away. Our federal government is disappointing. Thankfully, the Government for Believers is on the shoulders of our living Savior and Messiah. We do not bow to the systems in the United States of America. We trust and obey The Most High.       The Government shut down has presented the Church with an opportunity to show up! Many churches, groups of believers, and Faith based businesses and organizations have taken the "baton" and are doing a great job to supply resources for those in need.
